EMDR

EMDR – (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) – was developed to treat intense emotional states and negative thoughts resulting from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and other anxiety disorders. Treatment is conducted via replicating eye movements similar to those of the REM stage of sleep. EMDR is effective for treating posttraumatic stress as well as other disorders resulting from a difficult event in the past (anxiety, phobia, panic, eating disorders, and more).

The CBT Institute offers EMDR to interested patients when appropriate.
